2004 Taiwan Series Game 4
Uni-President Lions evened the series tonight. Continued with their high spirits after a big win over Sinon Bulls last night and seized an opportunity that the starter pitcher, who was hit directly by a flying ball on his left knee, replaced by a not-yet-warming-up reliever, batters of Lions drove 2 winning runs in the top fifth inning.
The game was played at a "third party's" home field, Hsinchuang Stadium Taipei County. Although both playing clubs are hosted in southern Taiwan, there is a large population of baseball fans here in the north, so the league decided to play two games in a "neutral zone".
Sinon Bulls played as host tonight, but with their loss, no home team has ever won a game so far in the series.
A-Fu, the MVP of the first game, was hit directly by a flying ball on his left knee tonight and was relieved after 4 and 1/3 innings.
