Can you recognize somebody when he/she is naked while you are blindfolded and only hand-touching is allowed? People who were born blind may be able to do it because they are trained to use their hands to know the world. It's possible you could also do it if you have taken the same training but for the rest of us the sense of touch is usually underdeveloped, so even someone with who you are intimately familiar, the chance you can recognize he/she is dim.
The first film I saw in my personal list of Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival, "naked", experimented it by sending two couples, naked and blindfolded of course, to recognize each one's own partner. They managed to do it successfully but a crooked referee made them think they were not. Because of their failure, albeit tricked, all the three couples in the film began to retrospect why they became couples in the first place.
