12/21 - Day 2, the first day of ski
We did get enough snow but a lot of more was coming from the sky. The weather forecast showed that we were going to have two snowy days. In fact, according to other experienced members in our group and coaches, we were skiing in the most windy and snowy days they ever had. The fresh snow that covered the slop also made ski even harder and I had to buy a ski mask to protect my face from freezing.
We split into three groups: one for children under 140 cm, one for children above 141 cm and other first time skiers and one for not the first time but needed skill improvements skiers. I belongs to the third one. Due to the weather, our coach could only gave us about two hours tutoring some basic but to me very important ideas about how to control your body and legs. You have to bend your knees to make a right turn and left turn, not to move your body. I think that's the most useful two hours I ever had.
The weather got even worse in the afternoon and I got into big trouble with my glasses being covered with fog, which virtually blocked most of my sight, so we decided to retire rather early and not to mention a night ski. Our ski package includes three days and two nights, which means we had only one night ski left and Michael and I were very looking forward to it.
Michael and I sitting on the lift. He didn't wear goggles but only sun glasses and it really caused a lot of troubles to him but somehow he still came through. One of the gloves he's wearing in this photo was blown away. He had to buy a new pair.
