The Chinese version of Tokyo Kitanshu, the latest book from Haruki Murakami, was officially released during Taipei International Book Exhibition 2006. Among the five short stories in the book, Where I'm Likely to Find It and The Kidney-shaped Stone that Moves Every Day had already seen their English translation appeared on The New Yorker last year.
In Occasional Traveler (偶然の旅人), the author shared with us some coincidences that seemed to be arranged by the power of supernature: the God of Jazz and the God of Homosexuality. I also want to believe there is a God of Baseball, especially with the World Baseball Classic coming up in March. I pray for games that are fought through out the nine innings, players who are ever striving and fans who never give up.
