McConnells Mill State Park, in Lawrence County, encompasses 2,546 acres of the spectacular Slippery Rock Creek Gorge. The park is about 40 miles north of Pittsburgh, via I-79, near the intersection of PA 19 and US 422.

The scenery at Slippery Rock Creek Gorge is indeed spectacular. The water reflects what's above it like a mirror. We walked on the Kildoo Trail, a two-mile loop begins at either side of the McConnells Mill Covered Bridge and continues on slippery rocky terrain to Eckert Bridge.
