My Little Honey Moon

My Little Honey Moon, by Taiwanese film director, Yu-Chieh Cheng, kicked off the 2012 New Taipei City Film Festival tonight at New Taipei City Government Administration Center. The film is set at Evania's hometown, Meinong, a famous Hakka district at southern Taiwan. It focuses on the struggles of Qiong, a foreign spouse in a traditional Hakka family. The tension between her and her husband, as well as mother-in-law, leads to a major quarrel that ultimately drives her to leave home for her only close friend, Ms. Sun, her daughter's former teacher, who was transferred to Taitung.
