The reason why a Holloywood heavyweight picked up this film was evident after going through the entire plot, in which the director skillfully manipulated his audience's feelings. An audible proof of the film's success was that a guy who sat next to me, across the aisle, let out long sighs in several heartbreaking moments. I had the same feelings, but my sighs were less audible--I sighed in my head.
