I was supposed to write a post about Good Bye Lenin! after seeing Berlin Blues during the 2004 Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival because many critics note that these two movies depict the reunionfication of East and West Germany from two different aspects. Both movies tell stories happened during the historical event, but from the east side, "Good Bye Lenin!" shares a sympathetic view with it's audience about the falling of communism.
An interesting finding I would like to share is the first German astronaut, Sigmund Jähn, accomplished his space mission when he was an East German citizen. It's almost like a reprint for the first Chinese astronaut in space, Yang Liwei, was also from a communist state. The German flew to the space in 1978 and the Chinese in 2003. The German reunification was in 1990, but what about the Chinese one? in 2015? Just another prognostication.
