A junior high school classmate, who was engaged (and later married) in late January this year, gave birth to her daughter two days ago. (Her daughter and Derek Jeter have the same birthday.) Last night, I visited them in the hospital. She said her labor lasted for only 4 hours. It's quite short for a first-time mother, I should say. During my visit, her parents were there taking care of their first grandchild and their eldest daughter as well. They couldn't help smiling.
