What begins with a college graduate striving to gain industry experience must end with a software engineer going back to school, seeking advanced education. I was very lucky to be in the telecommunication industry while the mobile carriers in Taiwan vigorously competed with each other in order to increase market share and boost financial earnings. It was a period of trying, learning and knowing -- 5 years, 10 months and 10 days to be precise or simply 2140 days.
The building under construction in the photo is right beside our company building. When they were working on the foundations, we could sometimes feel our building shaking, because the two buildings are too closely located. Yet, I noticed only recently that the main structures of the building are almost complete. Looking out of the window from our meeting room, Eve, I could see workers busying around on the floors, which was quite an amusing sight to see.
The analogy here between the building and I is we both have the foundations and the main structures, but we both are still under construction.
