"The Tempest of First Love" opened up the 2010 Taipei County Film Festival. The film centered around two young teens investigating and trying to resolve a mysterious affair between the girl's mother and the boy's father, who turned out to be lovers before each formed their individual families. Although it was given a serious title, the overall story was lighthearted and with many humorous scenes. The contrast between the teens was especially remarkable: the girl was a hardworking student in a top-notch high school, while the boy was distracted, struggling to take hold of his own life; the girl worried too much, while the boy worried too little. What the first love of these two generations created was not a tempest but a summer breeze that made you feel comfortable and not sleepy.
