A memorable quote from The Human Contract, written and directed by Jada Pinkett Smith:
Julian Wright: So this is your idea of a good night?
Michael: You Americans, I mean, your obsession with goodness.
Julian: What?
Michael: Goodness is only a requirement for acceptance, not greatness.
I have been bothered for the past two years about being good enough for somebody, but gradually I found that there are people who are just unable to be pleased -- no matter how hard I have tried. Isn't it true that we can find lots of acceptance in adult life, but we will never find perfection?
