Nicole and Michael's baby boy, weighted 3519 gram, was born at 4PM on February 12th. It was not an easy delivery for Nicole because the baby has a larger-than-average head. After more than 24 hours and two attempts, Nicole finally pushed the baby out of her and instantly felt relieved.
According to the new parents, they faced a decision point after the first attempt about whether to go with C-section or not. Nicole is determined to have a natural delivery since the very beginning of her pregnancy; hence she went with the second attempt.
The photo was taken on the first day the little baby was released from an infant intensive-care unit at Far Eastern Memorial Hospital. He just finished his second breastfeeding session with his mom at Yono Maternal Center.
Having a rather rocky beginning of his life does not seem to affect the baby's mood, because as captured by the photo, he could not help smiling while taking his naps.
