The annual Graduate Student Assembly (GSA) ski trip was a twelve-hour event starting from 7:30AM to 7:30PM. I was able to explore more fully the slopes in Seven Springs, not only the beginner or easier levels, but also the "more difficult" level (the slopes marked with blue square in the trail map). The Village Trail runs along side the condominiums on the mountain. It is long and mostly flat, a great trail for beginners to learn and to enjoy the view at the same time. The Boomerang Trail is right beside the Village Trail. As indicated by its name, it has a curved surface that attracted many snowboarders. The more difficult level I tried was Tyrol Slope. It was indeed a challenging slope because it scared me a little with its steep angle. Conquering this slope is really a mind game: fear will trick you to lean backward, which in turn will restrict your movement, and break your balance. Instead, you need to take some risks by leaning forward, and then trust yourself you can handle the speed. It was a great feeling when you proved that you can do it.
